William M. Hurter, Esq.
William M. “Bill” Hurter is a shareholder and co-founder of Hurter & Wilson, P.A. After growing up in Central Florida, Bill attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania before returning to his home state to attend Stetston University's College of Law.
While in law school Bill was a member of Stetson’s award winning Moot Court Board and received both national and international awards for his oral argument and brief writing abilities. In addition, Bill spent time working as a law clerk for estate planning attorney, Alan Gassman.
In 2011, while still in law school, Bill began working with a small law firm where he became a shareholder in 2014. During those years, Bill’s dedication to client service and finding creative and cost-effective solutions for his clients’ problems helped him generate a loyal client base accustomed to the client-focused practice Bill manages today.
Bill and his wife, Whitney, founded Hurter & Wilson, P.A. to continue serving clients in a manner consistent with their values. These values include always putting the client’s needs first and ensuring the highest standards of communication, respect, and attention to detail are maintained throughout the attorney-client relationship.

Whitney Wilson, Esq.
Owner and Hurter Wilson co-founder Whitney Wilson leads the firm's Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Wealth Transfer practices.
Whitney received her Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University's College of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from Georgia State University. Although it was the nationally-recognized advocacy program that drew Whitney to Stetson, it was during her time at the school that she discovered a deep affinity for legal research.
Prior to starting Hurter Wilson, Whitney was an of-counsel attorney for a general law practice in the Clearwater-St. Petersburg area. During law school she completed a summer internship with a Workers Compensation group in Atlanta and would go on to clerk for a small, full-service law firm in Tampa.
Whitney is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Massachusetts.
